VINTAGE 9CT GOLD ACORN PENDANT

A charming vintage Acorn pendant made of 9ct gold. The plump acorn has a crosshatch texture to replicate the cup shell, and the nut is made of smooth gold. The acorn is hallmarked for 9ct gold, with a date mark for Birmingham 1967, and makers mark W.J.S. In miniature form, the acorn looks gorgeous on a simple chain, or mixed in with other pendants and charms. Nuts were used often in jewellery from the 19th century onwards due to their symbolism.
