2026 Tongxinshe Tea Origin Trace | Tongmu Pass Floral Jinjunmei, A True Mountain Terroir Flavor
I’m Jon from Tongxinshe Teahouse, an ordinary tea enthusiast walking the path of tea exploration. The essence of tea lies in its mountain terroir, traditional craftsmanship, and a sincere heart that never compromises authenticity. In the spring of 2026, Tongxinshe ventured deep into the core producing area of Tongmu Pass in Wuyi Mountain, tracing the origin of authentic Jinjunmei. Our only pursuit is to present a pure-bred floral and honey-aroma fine tea to every true tea lover. Tongmu Pass is the core hinterland of the Wuyi Mountain National Nature Reserve. With an altitude of over 1,000 meters, it is shrouded in mist all year round with a large temperature difference between day and night. The unique loamy soil is rich in humus with a perfect pH value, nurturing an irreplicable mountain charm. As the birthplace of Jinjunmei, it was here in 2005 that the 24th-generation inheritor of Lapsang Souchong refined the craftsmanship, giving birth to this "peak of black tea". Genuine Tongmu Pass Jinjunmei is never mass-produced on assembly lines. It adopts only early spring single buds, and every 500 grams of finished tea requires selecting 60,000 to 80,000 tender tea buds by hand. On this origin trip, Tongxinshe personally controlled the entire quality from tea gardens to tea factories. We select tender buds of native small-leaf tea bushes in Tongmu Pass, adhering to authentic traditional techniques: withering, hand rolling, moderate fermentation, and charcoal baking. No artificial pigments or synthetic honey flavor are added, locking all natural aromatic substances inside the tea leaves. The dry tea strips are slender and elegant, blended with golden, yellow and black hues, covered densely with golden fine buds. Brewed with boiling water, the tea soup is golden and translucent with a distinct golden ring. Rich honey and fruity floral aromas mingle with elegant orchid fragrance, lasting long without any impurities. It tastes sweet and mellow with a full-bodied texture. A sweet aftertaste lingers instantly after swallowing, leaving a fresh and lasting throat charm, retaining its rich flavor even after seven infusions — fully embodying the spiritual essence of Tongmu Pass terroir. The tea market is bustling and chaotic, filled with counterfeits and inferior tea passed off as genuine Tongmu Pass produce. Yet I always believe fine tea speaks for itself with its inherent flavor, no exaggerated promotion needed. As a tea seeker, my original aspiration is simple: chase no false fame, seek no excessive profit. I only share teas I truly adore and personally approve of — presenting this authentic floral Jinjunmei from Tongmu Pass to every tea connoisseur who cherishes genuine tea. In 2026, let’s savour the ancient charm of Tongmu together at Tongxinshe. One sip of floral and honey lingering aroma, worthy of fine tea, worthy of our original heart.
