Alyogyne huegelii Blue Hibiscus, also known as Lilac Hibiscus. What's great about Blue Hibiscus is it's deep purple blooms, drought-tolerance, and it's a pollinator attractor. This spectacle grows to 6 to 8 feet with 4-inch purple-blue flowers in summer. This is an adaptable tender perennial shrub that is lime and drought tolerant. It prefers well-drained soil, but can be grown in sand, loam, or clay soils. Can be grown in full sun, or in partial shade. Protection from strong winds is desirable.
