Artificial Lime Phalaenopsis Orchid in Glass Vase

Most orchids you see are white or pink. The lime-green ones are rarer, and on a real plant that fresh chartreuse fades fast as the flowers age. This one holds the colour. The petals are a soft, cool green, flecked with pink at the throat and finished with that bright yellow centre the real Phalaenopsis has. A single stem arches up and over, with green buds still closed behind the open flowers, so it looks like a plant partway through coming into bloom rather than a finished, static one. The smaller details are what hold up close inspection: dark, strappy leaves and a couple of pale aerial roots winding down into moss, sitting in a small bubbled-glass pot that catches the light. It's compact, so it suits the spots a bigger plant can't fill: a bathroom shelf, a kitchen windowsill, a bedside table, the corner of a desk. A fresh hit of green that stays that way year-round.
