Summer Gothmas @ Castle Tap, Reading • 4th July 2026

Summer Gothmas is an annual free entry event run by Beat:Cancer on Saturday 4th July 2026, held at the Castle Tap in Reading: featuring a lineup of excellent DJs, a VERY well stocked bar, and BBQ manned by the B:C crew… not forgetting the obligatory B:C Raffle of course! Whilst the event is totally free to attend we are offering a delicious freshly grilled buffet for just £12 per session. How to book: From the drop down menu above just select and add to basket as many of each meal option (e.g Vegetarian/Vegan or Meat) you need for whichever serving session; e.g 2 Vegetarian/Vegan for Lunch at 2pm, and 1 Meat and 1 Vegetarian/Vegan for Dinner at 6pm etc. You can adjust quantities in the basket once you have added them. NOTE: BBQ IS ADVANCE BOOKING ONLY – DEADLINE IS 5PM SUNDAY 29TH JUNE If you have any dietary requirements beyond Vegan or Vegetarian (e.g Gluten Free or Dairy Free) please specify this on the order notes. We are aiming to have all grilled food and salads be Gluten Free this year. If we cannot manage that we will provide specifically for those that have highlighted their requirements in the order notes. Lineup With an unmissable closing set promised by Shark/Dinosaurs hybrid DJ monstrosity Karkasaurus, and with a host of top DJs joining them, this is going to be the highlight of your GothSummer calendar: Karkasaurus Duracell Bunny EndTransmission Simon Penguin John Hat Catering The BBQ will be a delicious freshly grilled buffet, fully catered by the B:C team, with Vegan, Vegetarian or Meat options. So no need to bring your own labelled bag of food, and no more pressure for the grill crew to remember which burger/halloumi/whatever is yours! Download the menu This year all grilled food will be gluten free, all salads will be vegan and gluten free! FAQ We’re running two serving sessions; first at 2pm, second at 6pm. All you need to do is choose when you want to eat, and which dietary option. Please do add any allergies/dietary requirements to your booking; we’ll do our best to facilitate these and be in touch should there be any issues. On checkout please add anything else we might need to know to the ‘notes’ section. You can of course buy a ticket for 2pm, and another for 6pm. You can buy multiple tickets to cater for your group/family/tribe/coven. Please head to the B:C Stall when you arrive to collect your BBQ wristband and ticket(s) Once all ticket holders have been served if we’ll open the buffet for seconds for those with that session’s wristband. The buffet will be opened in a staggered format; first we’ll call up those who have booked vegetarian/vegan, and second meat. We’ll have a supply of disposable plates and cutlery for those that need it, but do ask you bring your own reusable kit to save on an unnecessary waste!
