She takes hold of a tree trunk that has bloomed into a flower vine with yellow and white flowers, one of which has been blown to lie beside her feet. This statue is signed by Réne Frémin and is a plaster copy of his original marble statue. French sculptor, René Frémin, was particularly captured by Flora. In 1706, he was commissioned by King Louis XVI’s estate to create a marble statue of Flora for the Château de Marly in France.
