Quanta Gota by ANANDA OUT [Jul.2026] • PRE-ORDER NOW 7" Vinyl Single • 45 RPM • TDR077 • with a die-cut adapter (DCA) by Morato Records • (A division of Tropical Diaspora Records®) Emerging from Francisco Morato — a dormitory city and one of the most violent peripheries in the São Paulo metropolitan region — ANANDA carries the weight of her territory in every verse. She is not merely an artist. She is a mother, a permaculturist, a professor of physics and mathematics, an engineer, a popular educator, a lifelong articulator of social justice, and a co-founder of the anti-genocide collective Alfanje. "Quanta Gota" is her debut single — a forensic indictment of necropolitics, structural fascism and racism, and the blood-stained foundations of the Brazilian State. The title asks the question that echoes through the song: "With how many drops of blood is the State built?" This 7-inch vinyl single presents two versions: A Quanta Gota (Original) The full, unflinching track. Lyrics by ANANDA. Music by ANANDA & Zé Nigro. B Quanta Gota (Instrumental) The raw, bones-only version. The percussive landscape of Afro-Brazilian resistance laid bare. The contour lines flow across her skin like rivers, becoming the geography of her origin. This image serves as the foundation for the A1 poster, the 7" sleeve, and the entire visual identity of the release. Design by Dj GArRincha Die-Cut Adapter (DCA) This 7" record is pressed with a die-cut adapter (DCA) — also known as a "spider" or "center adapter." Unlike standard 7" records that require a separate plastic insert for playing on standard turntables, the DCA is built directly into the vinyl around the center hole. This means: No lost adapters — it cannot be misplaced. Plays immediately on any turntable — no fumbling for inserts. Structural integrity — reduces warping and center-hole wear over time. The DCA is a subtle but intentional design choice: a record that is self-sufficient, requiring nothing external to function. Like the periphery itself — complete, autonomous, and built to last. Paper Envelope (Inner Sleeve) The record comes housed in a high-quality paper envelope (inner sleeve), designed to protect the vinyl while providing additional visual space. The paper envelope features: Front: Detail of the contour face — the eyes and cheekbones formed by Francisco Morato's elevation lines. Back: The full lyric to "Quanta Gota" set in Courier typewriter font, as if typed on a manifest or a legal document. Material: Archival-quality kraft or white paper, chosen for its tactile, non-plastic feel. No PVC, no shrink-wrap over the envelope.
