VINTAGE KUROMONTSUKI HAORI "cherry blossoms, maruni-kenkatabami, KUR121" *hari-mon
Genuine vintage Japanese kimono. This HAORI is called “KUROMONTSUKI HAORI 黒紋付羽織” in Japan. Cherry blossoms blooming in an ancient capital, with charming deer resting peacefully beneath them. The scenery is beautifully expressed through intricate weaving on luminous white silk. It used to be worn as the first formal jacket for Japanese men. My proposal is to wear haori as a unisex casual fashion, different from the original way of wearing kimono. One-of-a-kind-vintage. I carefully handpicked this piece, which is in very good condition for a vintage garment. *Dated old, antique piece (Due to its age, this piece has some damage. Thank you for your understanding.) In the old days, only a few people of high status were allowed to have KAMON, but during the Meiji era (1868–1912), ordinary people were also permitted to use them. This haori family crest is called 「丸に三つ柏(まるにみつがしわ / Maruni-mitsugashiwa)」. Maruni-mitsugashiwa is a traditional family crest featuring three oak leaves arranged within a circle. The kashiwa (oak) leaf has long symbolized prosperity, family continuity, and strong familial bonds in Japan, as old leaves remain on the tree until new growth appears.
