We will show you exactly what your Tiffin is capable of on the steep logging roads of the Pacific Northwest. You’ll gain critical skills for navigating rugged trails, understanding your Tiffin's dynamics, using recovery gear effectively, and making smart decisions when the trail gets tough. What's Included 12+ hours of hands-on recovery training for one vehicle (1-2 people) Footprint Management: Exact physics of airing down for deep sand versus rocky coastal timber tracks. Field Mechanics: Safely jacking and changing a heavy van tire in soft sand and uneven terrain. Trail Triage: Plugging torn sidewalls, reseating blown tire beads with onboard air, and strapping broken suspension components. Gear Architecture: Auditing your specific recovery kit to ensure hardware is safely rated for a fully loaded Winnebago Revel. Dynamic Problem Solving: Hands-on experience navigating complex obstacles and executing multi-vehicle recoveries. All with the specifity of the Tiffin GH1/GH2 Location: Crystal Mountain, WA Practice your recovery skills in diverse terrain. You’ll learn on forest trails, and open dispersed camping areas. Exact meet-up location and GPS coordinates will be shared upon registration. The Weekend Itinerary Friday (2:00 PM – 6:00 PM): The Shakedown. Meet near the Naches Trail corridor. We begin with a full walk-around of your suspension, practice rapid airing down, and run preliminary traction control drills on the lower gravel networks. Saturday (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM): The Proving Ground. A highly technical day focused on spotting, approach/departure angles, and complex winching scenarios. You will learn the safe geometry of using snatch blocks, tree savers, and kinetic ropes on rutted mountain tracks. Optional: The Rainier Music Festival After testing your suspension on complex descents, unwind on Saturday evening at the Rainier Music Festival (August 1st) in Ashford. Enjoy local rock, blues, and reggae in a relaxed, tall-timber setting before heading back to our high-elevation dispersed camp. Sunday (10:00 AM – Early Afternoon): The Final Run. A scenic, guided mountain traverse applying all weekend skills, culminating in a trail-side wrap-up before the drive home.
