This sale is for Mid Century modernist design of US Great Seal bookends constructed from brass and heavy faux wood grain resin base. Each emblem displays a raised relief of US Great Seal featuring an eagle with spread wings holding a banner. "E pluribus unum" a motto of the United States; Latin for “Out of many, one.” It refers to the Union formed by the separate states. E pluribus unum was adopted as a national motto in 1776 and is now found on the Great Seal of the United States and on United States currency. Each measure: 6 ¼” W x 3 ½” Depth x 7” H.
