This antiqued parchment poster depicts a replica of the actual reward poster issued by Edwin M. Stanton, Secretary of War, from the War Department in Washington on April 20, 1865, following Lincolns Assassination. A $100,000 reward was offered, and the poster proclaimed, "The Murderer of our late beloved President, Abraham Lincoln is still at large."
