By Frank Smyth and Myles Ludwig. “Crime and Detection in Fact and Fiction.” A coffee-table-type hardcover “comparing popular detectives of [fiction/scripted] with great real-life detectives whose most famous cases are presented here in fascinating detail.” A well-kept late-‘70s publication with some visible corner- and shelfwear to the jacket, and the front cover bows out a bit. Clean and neat inside, though, with speckled page tint along the bottom that looks quite fresh. An interesting tour of the genre, somewhat scarce.
