Large Fine Stitched Embroidered Vintage Kantha Quilt in Bahama Blue

This vibrant, beautifully embroidered vintage kantha quilt was handmade many years ago in Bengal. With a soft texture and in fabulous condition, this quilt is perfect for adding a layer of authenticity with an eyeful of colour to your home. The front has detailed embroidery on red and navy on blue, with a sari border creating a stripe and edging. The reverse is a mix of traditional blue check. This one is a large almost square size, soft medium to heavy weight, in fabulous condition for its age. SIZE: 215cm x 170cm (85” x 67”) This size will just drape over the end of a UK king size bed (US full) As a true vintage textile, it shows the charm of its past life. Expect small imperfections, patches, and worn areas where the layers of fabric peek through, these are not flaws, but part of its history and character. This is a one-off design, when it’s gone, it’s gone! Handmade in India during the 20th Century.
