They also produce crimson winged fruits in the spring. This acer can grow up to 8m tall in the ground, over the course of 20 years and suitable growing conditions. You can plant this acer in a pot and it will thrive happily in free draining soil in a position that is sheltered from harsh winds. Full or partial sun is preferred.
