RX30 exterior fabric is water resistant and holds up to hard use. On the inside, you’ll find tough 200D nylon and a mesh pocket and key hook below the main zipper for keeping your little sundries organized. And every pack is padded on all sides using a lightweight 1/8” closed-cell foam, providing structure and protection for your frame and gear. After a lot of testing, we opted to use a #9 Ideal large coil zipper that opens easily without getting jammed up even when the temps drop. The water-repellency is courtesy of bio-based and PFAS-free treatment. No, the zipper isn’t waterproof, but from our experience it keeps the water out effectively and lasts far longer than urethane coated zippers. And perhaps most delightfully - it can be opened and closed with one hand! These packs use minimal velcro straps and bolt right into the Flyway frame with the included stainless steel bolts.
