Using four high-speed 3D laser sensors mounted around the dispensing nozzle, the system captures a complete bead profile—measuring the height, width, volume, and location in real time. Acquiring up to 400 samples per second per sensor, the Coherix 3D Mini micro bead inspection device provides continuous visibility into dispensing performance. It can detect defects such as gaps, skips, and neck-downs as they occur. The embedded processing software analyzes the bead geometry against the defined specifications to help identify variation and optimize dispensing performance without the need for an external computer. When integrated with Coherix Adaptive Process Control (APC), the micro adhesive bead inspection system also enables real-time process adjustments to reduce scrap and improve consistency.
