Thalictrum aquilegifolium ‚Black Stockings‘ (Meadow Rue)

Meadow rue ‘Black Stockings’ is a stately, profusely flowering perennial suited for partial shade. From July through August, large, purplish-pink umbels appear on distinctive black stems—an elegant contrast that stands out particularly well against a dark background. Growing up to 170 cm tall, it makes a striking statement in the back of a bed while being extremely low-maintenance. Flowering period: Jul-Aug Height/Planting distance: 120–170 cm/75 cm Location: Sun/partial shade, well-drained & nutrient-rich soil Plant in groups of 1–3.
