Two nights off-grid in the Wye Valley, Sunday 12th to Tuesday 14th July 2026. We're setting up camp for 40 Pioneers on the banks of the River Wye, in a remote stretch of the valley. No 5G. No wifi. We'll spend one day on the river, navigating the Wye by canoe. Each evening we'll come together around the campfire for food and conversation. The rest of the time is yours. Woodland trails, wild swimming, skimming stones, downtime. WHAT'S INCLUDED * Two nights camping on the River Wye * Pre-pitched tent on arrival, or bring your own tent / camper * Canoe trip on the Wye * All meals from Sunday evening to Tuesday breakfast * Coffee, tea, water and soft drinks across the stay WHAT TO EXPECT A private stretch of the Wye Valley, around 1.5 miles from Symonds Yat. Pre-pitched bell tents around a central fire pit, with plenty of room for additional pitches for those bringing their own tents or vans. Toilets, showers and a camp kitchen on site. ITINERARY AT A GLANCE Sunday 12th July: Arrive from 3pm. Settle in. Group cook-up over fire. Campfire and conversation. Monday 13th July: Breakfast. Walk to the canoe trip pickup point (1.5 miles). Downstream river trip with packed lunch. Afternoon downtime. Evening fire feast. Tuesday 14th July: Breakfast. Pack down by 11am. THE DETAIL Location: Wye Valley, around 1.5 miles from Symonds Yat. Exact address sent on booking. Getting there: Best reached by car. Postcode and directions sent with your booking confirmation. Arrival: From 3pm on Sunday 12 July. Flexible window. Tea and coffee waiting. Departure: 11am on Tuesday 14 July. A covered space on site is available until the afternoon if you want to extend or share a final coffee before heading home. Sleeping: Pre-pitched bell tents allocated on a first-come basis. Bring your own tent or campervan if you'd prefer. Small campervans only, no motorhomes. Fitness: A 1.5-mile walk to and from the canoe launch. Half-day paddle downstream on flat-to-mild water. No prior canoeing experience needed. Food: All meals included. Let us know about dietary requirements when you book. Drinks: Water, coffee, tea and soft drinks provided. Bring something stronger if you wish. What to bring: A sleeping bag and pillow, layers for cool evenings, footwear for walking and canoeing, swimwear and a towel, a torch. Full kit list sent on booking. FREQUENTLY ASKED What is access like? A trail services the campsite, suitable for cars and standard camper vans but not large vans or motorhomes. What are the sleeping arrangements? Six pre-pitched tents, each sleeping six. Or bring your own tent or camper van. What's the weather plan? British summer. Expect anything. We'll have shelter on site. Can I bring my dog? Not on this one, sorry. What if I need to cancel? We can't guarantee a refund, but we'll do our best to resell your place if you can't make it.
