A dense canopy of ochres, ember-reds, and olive greens swells across the surface like a living weather system, its countless leaf-like marks accumulating into a palpable, breathing mass. Light is not rendered as a single source but as a slow diffusion—glimpsed in the warm, yellowed ground below and in the flicker of highlights that make the foliage shimmer between presence and dissolution. The composition suggests a threshold: an overflowing crown of growth pressing downward toward a quiet, open field, as if nature’s abundance is both sheltering and relentless. In this tension between saturation and clearing, the work reads as a meditation on cycles—flourish, fall, and the soft persistence of time.
