Amaranthus cruentus Tall approaching 4 feet with deep burgundy leaves and seed heads, this variety makes a statement! Excellent in containers and among perennials for a nice hit of colour. Long flowering season producing seeds that birds love! Easy to grow from seed. Certified Organic Growing Instructions Sow into 98-cell flats or preferred seedling container 4-6 weeks before planting out. Germination: 7-10 days. Seedling trays should be kept at a temperature of 62-65°F (17-18°C) prior to transplanting. Can be direct seeded after the threat of frost has passed. Spacing: 12-15”. Prefers well-drained soil. Pinching is required for more manageable stems. Support recommended.
