Here's an original 1991 Ernie Ball Music Man Edward Van Halen in original Purple Flame Top with original case and paperwork. Truly a find....nice and clean and all original with paperwork to boot. A legendary solid-body electric guitar designed in collaboration with Eddie Van Halen, featuring a basswood body, a highly figured maple top, and a fast-playing birdseye maple neck. Neck is straight and true, beautifully figured Birdseye, and plays amazingly well. Body Material: Basswood with a bookmatched, highly figured quilted or flamed maple top and matching headstock. Neck Material: Selected birdseye maple with a hand-rubbed oil and wax finish, bolt-on construction, 22 frets, and a 10-inch fretboard radius. Scale Length: 25.5 inches. Pickups: Two custom-wound DiMarzio humbucking pickups mounted directly to the basswood body with no pickguard or mounting rings for maximum resonance. Bridge: Floyd Rose-licensed locking tremolo system (Music Man/Gotoh). Controls: Streamlined layout consisting of a single 3-way toggle pickup selector and a single volume knob (which was famously labeled "Tone" at Eddie's request). Headstock: Compact 4+2 tuning key layout featuring Edward Van Halen’s signature decal. Guitar is very clean, one or two tiny dings to the top is all....9 out of 10 condition. Purple is considered a rare color and highly valued. Comes with original hardshell case and paperwork as pictured.
