Race suits are cut deliberately tight. A suit that feels comfortable standing upright will be loose in a tuck, and loose leather means armor that shifts on impact. But a suit that's genuinely too small will restrict your arms at full lean and pull at the shoulders. Measure your chest at the widest point, your waist at the navel and your inseam from crotch to floor, then check those against our size chart rather than guessing from your jacket size. Top-grain cowhide relaxes noticeably after 200 to 300 miles, so a snug first fit is normal and correct. How long does it take to ship? How do I care for the leather between track days? Wipe the outer shell with a damp cloth after each session to lift bug residue and brake dust before it sets. Leave it and it stains. Pull the detachable mesh lining out and machine wash it cold. Condition the leather with a non-silicone leather cream every three to four months, more often if you ride in dry heat. Never machine wash the shell or leave the suit in direct sun to dry; both will shrink and crack the hide. Replace knee and shoulder sliders once they've worn past the raised edge. They're cheap and they're doing real work.
