Domaine Pierre Morin Sancerre Blanc Chant de l’Orme
The Morin family has farmed around Bué - one of Sancerre’s most distinguished villages - for generations, gradually expanding the estate from 1.5 hectares to 10 hectares of biodynamically farmed vines on some of the finest sites in the region. Chant de l’Orme is Morin's rarest wine, made in minute quantities (approximately 800 bottles), with half the wine matured in used demi-muids. Vines were planted in 1968, within the lieu-dit 'En Grands Champs' in Sancerre. It is a profound and structured Sancerre, combining aromatic intensity with impressive ageing potential. The varietal character is beautifully defined, with pronounced notes of ripe citrus and stone fruit lifted by subtle hints of nettle. A creamy, gently fleshy texture lends breadth and suppleness, bringing balance and quiet generosity to the wine’s vibrant core.
