Teak Outdoor teak is a naturally durable hardwood, valued for its strength, stability and ability to withstand the demands of outdoor living. Its warm golden-brown tone and distinctive grain give it a timeless character that works beautifully across a range of outdoor spaces. Teak contains natural oils that help protect the timber from moisture and the elements, making it particularly well suited to outdoor furniture. With time and exposure to sunlight, untreated teak will naturally weather from its original warm tone to a soft, silvery-grey patina. This change is a natural part of the timber’s character and does not affect its durability. As a natural material, every piece of teak is unique. Variations in grain, colour and natural markings are inherent to the timber and cannot be controlled. Our skilled makers carefully select the timber, while features such as changes in grain direction should be celebrated as part of the natural beauty of the material. Used in the following ranges: Tanso Range Solas Range Teak requires relatively little maintenance, although regular cleaning will help to keep the surface looking its best. Left to weather naturally, it will develop a beautifully understated patina that reflects its outdoor environment.
