Papua New Guinea

There aren't many coffees that come from as far off the map as this one. It's grown in the remote highlands of Papua New Guinea, in small family gardens tucked up between the mountains and the clouds, where a lot of the coffee still traces back to Jamaican Blue Mountain seeds planted about a century ago. For years the crop from these isolated valleys got flown out by small plane, which is how it earned the nickname "airstrip coffee." This lot is sorted to Papua New Guinea's Premium Smallholder grade, the mark they save for the cleanest small farm coffees, and it drinks smooth and balanced with cedar, molasses and herbal notes present in the cup.
