Bearded Bison Brass Door Knocker

A new face for the herd. One of two Bison heads joining the Foundry 26 range, this one carries the full mane. Thick woolly fur runs from the crown down through a heavy beard, with two curved horns set close to the head. Modelled on the American bison, cast with the depth and undercut a moulded or pressed knocker can't hold: every ridge of fur reads as fur, not a smudge. Each one starts as a wax pattern, 3D-printed for detail no hand tool can reach, then investment cast solid, one at a time. Nothing here is plated or hollow. Mass production presses from a worn die and softens with each copy. Ours doesn't. Cast in Yorkshire from a marine-grade bronze alloy with the warm golden tone most people call brass, built to outlast the door it hangs on. It arrives bright and will darken with time and touch. A quick polish brings it back. Supplied as a complete kit: the Bearded Bison head, ring and strike-ball, backplate and fixings, ready to fit a standard door.
