Laveno Antique | Table Service · Complete Set
A complete Laveno table, assembled from a single sourcing. Three serving dishes in graduated sizes, six dinner plates, and a serving bowl — all carrying the same aged beige glaze and fine web of crazing. Matched for tone and condition. The patina shifts from piece to piece, as it does across any table of this age; the pieces read as a set because they are one, not because they were made uniform. Assembling a service like this from separate sources is the work of years — this one came intact. The house was founded at Laveno on Lake Maggiore and became one of Italy's principal earthenware producers, supplying households and restaurants into the twentieth century. The undermark, introduced in 1883, dates these pieces to somewhere between 1900 and 1940.
