Concha Wall Sconce

$2,680 Production lead time: 8-10 weeks Concha is a wall sconce built from a curved ceramic shade on an unlacquered brass arm. The glaze crawls across the surface in an open web, so the light comes through broken up instead of even. Integrated LED on a dimmer, available hardwired or plug-in, and open to customization on request. Kalya O'Donoghue is a Brooklyn-based ceramicist who breaks glaze compounds down to their chemical foundation, adjusting and rebuilding them to create unique surface treatments. After graduating from RISD's Industrial Design program, O'Donoghue worked in furniture and lighting before founding her chemistry-focused ceramic studio.
