Ultra Acan Lordhowensis Coral Frag
Ultra Acan Lordhowensis, Micromussa lordhowensis formerly classified as Acanthastrea lordhowensis, is a colorful fleshy stony coral known for its large individual polyps, textured outer rims, and strong feeding response. This WYSIWYG frag features intense red-orange centers with pale blue-gray to greenish outer rim texture, creating a bold contrast under reef lighting. Acan Lord corals are popular with reef hobbyists because they offer vivid color, compact growth, and excellent showpiece appeal in established reef aquariums. Care Guide: Micromussa lordhowensis generally does best in low to moderate lighting and low to moderate indirect water flow. Avoid strong direct current, which can irritate the fleshy tissue or prevent full polyp expansion. Place this frag on the sand bed, lower rockwork, or a stable frag rack with room around it so the polyps can expand. Maintain stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, salinity, and temperature. This coral is photosynthetic but benefits from occasional target feeding with mysis, finely chopped meaty foods, or quality coral pellets when feeding tentacles are visible.
