The Pale Count - Ghost Oil
A creature older than time lurks in a secluded, crumbling castle in the depths of the Transylvanian Alps. It's currently fall, the leaves are dead, and the ground is cold and damp. Despite the beautiful scenery, he stays hidden in the shadows of his dilapidated fortress until it's time to fly to the nearest inhabitance and feed on the townsfolk. The town always smells so warm and welcoming this time of year, to his great disgust. The smell of charred wood, warm spices, and tobacco are prevalent. Smoke rises up to the sky in soft curls from the many fires and there's a faint hint of worn suede. To any normal human, this would be an intoxicating blend of aromas. But to a creature of the dark, damp night it was off-putting. Lucky for him though, the smell will fade once he drains every last resident dry.
