StarSense AutoAlign V2 captures the sky, plate-solves each star field, and builds an alignment model for a compatible Celestron computerised telescope in minutes. The same camera and onboard computer can build the alignment model, refine a GoTo, and support the control method that suits the night. Precise GoTo Put the target where you expect it. The camera plate-solves near the selected object, then commands a fine correction to place it near the centre of the eyepiece or camera field. Automatic alignment Let the camera build the pointing model. StarSense captures and plate-solves star fields, then uses those solved positions to align a compatible Celestron computerised telescope. Choose your control Hand control, PC, or supported mobile. Operate through NexStar+, Celestron CPWI, or SkyPortal when the required compatible communication hardware is present. USB-C access See what the camera sees. A direct PC connection supports CPWI, live camera view, diagnostics, log retrieval, and firmware updates. The USB cable is user supplied. Choose the bracket that matches the telescope, then connect the supplied cable to a compatible AUX port on the mount. The small bracket fits a standard finderscope base. The large bracket suits 5-inch and larger Schmidt-Cassegrain, EdgeHD, and RASA telescopes. Some smaller telescopes without a standard finderscope base need a third-party base. Use AUX, never an ST-4 autoguider port. Add a Celestron AUX Port Splitter if every compatible AUX socket is occupied. Protect eyes and equipment Never point StarSense AutoAlign V2 or the telescope towards the Sun. The system cannot perform a daytime alignment. Allow for difficult sky conditions The bright Moon or haze can stop plate solving near the affected part of the sky. Use a clear field away from the glare. Bring the right cable A USB Type-A to USB-C cable is not supplied. It is required for a direct PC connection, live view, logs, and firmware maintenance. Connect only to AUX Do not connect the supplied AUX cable to an ST-4 autoguider port. The specified operating range is -5°C to 40°C.
