Apples - Gala

Four apples (approximately 1.8 lbs.) grown by South Baldwin Farms in their orchard located 20 miles south of Lawrence. Gala apples have a sweet, mild flavor with a crisp but not hard texture. South Baldwin Farms does not follow organic practices, but they reduce pesticide usage via a variety of integrated pest management techniques. In addition, some of the pesticides they use are organic (OMRI certified), and they use drip irrigation to reduce water usage.
