Pusole, Karamare Ogliastra IGT (2024) – Sardinia

THE GRAPE Pusole takes local Sardinian white grape Cannonau Bianco and let it speak slowly, with skin contact, wild fermentations and all the patience the island asks for.Karamare comes from Ogliastra, where the vines grow with the sea not far away and the wind never really stops. THE WINE Karamare glows golden in the glass and opens with yellow peach, citrus peel, dried flowers, Mediterranean herbs and that lovely touch of honeyed fruit that makes you lean in for another sip. Then comes the grip — a savoury, almost salty texture, some spice, a bit of almond skin, and a long finish that feels both sunny and serious.
