About the Print Sunset Shoreline was inspired by the breathtaking sunsets and sweeping sand dunes of Lake Michigan. After witnessing this unforgettable evening while camping along the shoreline, I knew I had to capture its radiant beauty on canvas. Brilliant hues of pink, purple, blue, gold, and soft gray swirl harmoniously across the sky, creating a visual dance of color that reflects upon the tranquil waters below and evokes a deep sense of peace, joy, and serenity. Lake Michigan sunsets have long been one of my favorite subjects to paint because no two are ever the same. Their beauty is both extraordinary and fleeting—a reminder to pause, be present, and embrace the wonder of the moment. Through Sunset Shoreline, I hope to preserve that feeling, inviting viewers to experience the stillness, warmth, and timeless beauty of an evening along the Great Lakes whenever they stand before the painting.
