‘Morpho’ highlights the species of the Blue Morpho Butterfly which faces risk of extinction as its habitat is under threat – Louise uses upward drips to hint at is divine status and butterflies are well known symbols of the soul. Louise McNaught’s work draws its inspiration form the natural world – raising the status of animals and creatures to the majestic and sublime, she creates bold images, using striking colour and compositional techniques. ‘Morpho’ is signed by the artist.
