Yamaha T7 Peg Relocate
Yamaha T7 Footpeg Relocation Brackets If you're a taller rider on a Yamaha Ténéré 700, there's a good chance the cockpit feels cramped—especially when standing. Bar risers and lower footpegs are the usual fixes, but there's another important part of the ergonomic equation that rarely gets discussed: the horizontal distance between the footpegs and handlebars. Many Japanese motorcycles have shorter, more compact cockpits than their European counterparts. On the T7, the footpeg-to-handlebar distance is approximately 2" shorter than on a comparable KTM adventure bike. For taller riders, that shorter cockpit forces you into a more hunched-forward standing position, putting additional strain on your lower back, shoulders and forearms. It also makes it harder to find a neutral standing position where you're balanced over the bike rather than supporting your upper body with the handlebars. Moving the footpegs rearward opens up the cockpit and makes it much easier to find that neutral balance point. With your weight properly positioned over the pegs, you can stand more naturally and rely less on the bars to support yourself. We've been running rearward footpeg relocation brackets on our own T7s for years. After plenty of testing and miles, we decided it was time to turn them into an official Camel ADV product. The brackets are CNC machined from 1/2" (13 mm) 6061-T6 aluminum and provide two footpeg mounting positions: 1" (25 mm) rearward from stock 2" (50 mm) rearward from stock More cockpit room, easier neutral balance and a more natural standing position—especially for taller riders. *The side stand safety switch guard needs to be removed when installing these brackets on a 2025-newer T7* **Not compatible with center stands** Install and introduction video:
