The Magneto floor lamp is a true icon of Dutch design, originally created in the 1950s by Henk Fillekes for Pastoe. Its defining feature is the magnetic ball placed on the elegant tripod base, allowing the arm and shade to be effortlessly rotated into almost any position. This innovative magnetic mechanism, which also gives the lamp its name, makes it easy to direct the light precisely where it is needed. The light source is deeply recessed within the shade, creating a focused and comfortable light, ideal for reading. Inspired by the principles of the Bauhaus movement, the design combines minimalist form with practical functionality, resulting in a refined and timeless lighting piece.
