BRIT

BRIT is a variable loop wool carpet in soft heathered neutrals. The loop height shifts slightly across the surface, which is what gives it a quiet, hand-made texture rather than a machine-flat one, and the heathered yarn keeps the colour from reading as a solid block. The yarn is 100% wool with a 20% yak blend, spun three ply, at 48oz (1630gsm) with an 8mm pile — soft underfoot for a loop pile. BRIT is built on a natural hessian backing rather than a synthetic one, so the floor covering is a natural fibre product through to the base. Wool buffers humidity in a room, holds its colour against UV, traps airborne dust in the pile rather than letting it circulate, and is naturally flame resistant: BRIT tests at 7.1 kW/m² critical radiant flux under ISO 9239.1. Nine colours, the widest palette in our wool range: Fawn, Rowan, Juniper, Bramble, Hawthorne, Flint, Raine, Coast and Heather. Worth noting the roll width. BRIT is milled at 3.66 metres rather than the 4 metres most of the range runs at, which can change where the seams fall in a wide room — bring your dimensions in and we will plan it with you.
