UrinCheck™ ADT 7 – Urine Adulteration & Specimen Validity Test Strip 1 box of 25 fast dip-and-read test strip that checks 7 specimen integrity parameters to determine whether a urine sample has been diluted, substituted or chemically adulterated — before you run your drug test. An essential pre-screening step for any workplace or clinical drug testing program. 7 integrity checks Dip & read Results in 1–2 min No instrument required Colour-chart comparison 7 Parameters Tested Creatinine / Specific Gravity pH / Nitrite / Oxidants Glutaraldehyde / Bleach (PCC) Why Adulteration Testing? Specimen tampering can produce false negatives on drug tests. Running an adulteration check before the drug screen helps ensure you're testing a valid, uncompromised sample — protecting the integrity of your entire testing program. Best For Medical centres and clinics that send urine samples to a laboratory for confirmation but need to verify specimen integrity at the point of collection. Also ideal for any site using urine drug tests without built-in adulteration checks. What Each Parameter Detects Parameter What It Checks Normal / Abnormal Creatinine Sample dilution — is the urine too watered down? < 20 mg/dL = possible adulteration (DOT guideline) Specific Gravity Sample dilution — ionic concentration of the specimen < 1.003 = possible adulteration (DOT guideline) pH Acidic or alkaline adulterants (vinegar, ammonia, etc.) Normal 4.5–8.0; < 4.0 or > 9.0 = adulteration Nitrite Exogenous nitrite-based adulterants > 7.5 mg/dL = abnormal (not a normal urine component) Oxidants Hydrogen peroxide, ferricyanide, persulfate and other oxidising agents Any presence = adulteration (not a normal urine component) Glutaraldehyde Exogenous aldehyde — a known commercial adulterant Any presence = adulteration (not a normal urine component) Bleach / PCC Bleach and pyridinium chlorochromate (chromate) Any presence = adulteration (not a normal urine component) Note: Creatinine and Specific Gravity should be considered together for the most accurate assessment of specimen dilution. How to Use Aliquot a small portion of the urine sample into a separate container. Do not dip directly into the primary collection container. Remove a strip from the bottle and replace the cap tightly immediately. Completely immerse all reagent areas in the urine. Remove the strip immediately to avoid dissolving the reagent pads. Touch the side of the strip against the rim of the container to remove excess urine, then blot the lengthwise edge on an absorbent paper towel. Compare each reagent pad to the corresponding colour blocks on the bottle label. Read all pads at 1–2 minutes. Important: Colour changes after 2 minutes are of no diagnostic value. Proper read time is critical for accurate results. How to Interpret Results Compare each reagent pad colour to the corresponding colour chart on the container label. Semi-quantitative results are obtained by visual colour comparison — no instrument is required. Normal specimen: All 7 parameters fall within normal ranges — proceed with drug testing. Abnormal specimen: One or more parameters fall outside normal range — the specimen may be diluted, substituted or adulterated. Follow your program policy (e.g. recollection, observed collection, or rejection). Key thresholds: Creatinine < 20 mg/dL, Specific Gravity < 1.003, pH < 4.0 or > 9.0, Nitrite > 7.5 mg/dL, or any positive result for Oxidants, Glutaraldehyde or Bleach/PCC. What's Included UrinCheck™ ADT 7 test strips x25 Colour chart on container label Package insert / Instructions for Use Desiccant (do not remove from bottle) Specimen collection container and timer are required but not included. Storage & Shelf Life Store at room temperature 15–30°C in the original container with cap tightly closed. Do not remove desiccant from the bottle. Do not expose to direct sunlight. Remove only as many strips as needed and recap immediately. Do not use after the expiration date. Product Specifications Brand: UrinCheck™ Model: ADT 7 Format: Dip-and-read plastic test strip with 7 reagent pads Parameters: Creatinine / Specific Gravity / pH / Nitrite / Oxidants / Glutaraldehyde / Bleach (PCC) Read Time: 1–2 minutes Sample: Fresh, uncentrifuged urine (no preservatives) Method: Visual colour-chart comparison — no instrument required Use: For in vitro use only FAQ Why do I need an adulteration test if my drug test cup already has SVT? Some urine drug test cups and cassettes do not include built-in specimen validity testing (SVT). The UrinCheck™ ADT 7 is the perfect companion for any urine drug test that lacks adulteration checks — simply dip the strip before running your drug screen. What's the difference between the ADT 7 and the SVT built into cups like the MaxiClear Tilt 6? Both check similar parameters (creatinine, specific gravity, pH, nitrite, oxidants, glutaraldehyde). The ADT 7 adds a dedicated Bleach / Pyridinium Chlorochromate (PCC) check and can be used with any urine specimen — it's not tied to a specific drug test device. Can I use the ADT 7 with any urine drug test? Yes. It works as a standalone pre-screening step before any urine-based drug test — cassettes, dip cards, cups or lab submissions. Simply aliquot a portion of the specimen and dip the strip before running your drug test. What common adulterants does the ADT 7 detect? It detects water dilution (via creatinine and specific gravity), pH manipulation (vinegar, ammonia), and the most common commercial adulterants including nitrite-based products, glutaraldehyde, bleach, hydrogen peroxide, and pyridinium chlorochromate (PCC). Pair with any urine drug test for complete specimen integrity. The UrinCheck™ ADT 7 is the ideal companion to urine drug test cassettes and dip cards that don't include built-in adulteration checks.
