Timid Ochoko Sake Cup ー鈴木 優作 “おちょこ“

A bashful sake cup decorated with a set of saucer-like eyes over a woven basket pattern in black and white by Suzuki Yusaku enclosed in the original signed wooden box decorated with a matching set of eyes and THX! in an astral explosion. The eyes seem to say, in a quiet voice, “may I have another?”. It is 6.5 x 6.2 x 6.2 cm (roughly 2-1/2 inches in all directions) and is in perfect condition, directly from the artist. Suzuki Yusaku was born in Aichi prefecture in central Japan in 1991 and graduated the Nagoya Zokei University Ceramics Course in 2014. He started drawing in the latter half of his sophomore year in college and this practice became the foundation of his current artistic style as well as a key element of his work’s appeal. He holds both group and solo exhibitions across Japan.
