P-1 Pilot

The explorers of yesteryear may not have known it at the time, but their globe-trotting adventures helped inspire the design of our P-1 Pilot. With a minimal look based on the watches they wore, the P-1 is a contemporary update on the early 20th century pilot’s watch. For this new edition we’ve updated the P-1 with a refined, streamlined case shape for comfort, a 3D Aera logo and numerals and a new Elabore grade Swiss automatic movement. Made from brushed 904L stainless steel and with our signature dished, one-piece dial, this is a watch to reach for when anything could happen. Built for adventures big and small, The P-1 is the pilot’s watch at its most minimal. We’ve dialled everything back to its purest form, while retaining the characteristically large numerals, big crown and outer seconds track that define the pilot. Designed to be enjoyed for a lifetime and to be enjoyed in the process, we’ve engineered the P-1 out of the best materials we could find. There’s corrosion-resistant 904L stainless steel for the case and buckle, which have been brushed to give a sleek, rugged feel. An automatic, Elabore grade Sellita movement provides the power, while our signature one-piece, dished dial is seen here in its most dramatic form. It’s paired with a domed sapphire crystal, furthering the sense of depth within the display. It has always been important for pilot watches to be easy to read. This is the case with the P-1’s large numerals and outer seconds track, which are visible at any angle you look at them. This is true at night too, where the numerals, hands and markers light up with a bright white glow thanks to the 3-D Swiss Super LumiNova®. For further functional appeal, turn the watch over to reveal the newly designed case back, fixed down with six visible screws adding a utilitarian look and feel. Available in an edition of 300, each P-1 includes a Scuba Black rubber strap as well as an additional strap, which can be chosen from a pre-selected range. Both come with our quick release mechanism, so they can be swapped out with ease.
