The Mountain... sheer barbaric, brute force. At the click of a button, summon the spirit of the tibetan plateau, and throw your amp into pushed oblivion. feel the winds, the snow, the frequencies so massive, it makes the breath thin. one knob to control how far you want to take your journey... set it max to experience the summit of tone that 2 transistors have to offer. the one knob fuzz has dominated the pedal market for a long time now, and specifically the doom genre. it is a very simple, two transistor fuzz face esque circuit with each builder tuning it their own way. this circuit is truly a wonderful platform in so many ways. It is an extremely agreeable fuzz that works well in almost every fuzz context you could throw at it. so here in the midnight of twilight, I thought to myself, how can we take this as far as it could possibly go? so being a very simple circuit, I designed a circuit board that has trimpots for every resistor in the circuit, essentially creating a platform to fine tune every single nuance in this circuit. I wanted to tune the 2 transistor platform to its maximum abilities, and did just that. VARIANTS annapurna- tuned like a much more stable and smooth fuzz. Biased for natural sounding decay and texture, very loud. K2- has a bit of a stronger fuzz texture, a bit more ripple and aggressive crackle in the undertones, and this version has a very subtle gating effect when digging deep and heavy into the strings.
