Glenburgie 'Infrequent Flyers' 2011 / 13 years old 58.9%
After spending a third of its 13 years of maturation in a Languedoc Red Wine Hogshead, this single cask Glenburgie delivers a range of tangy fruit notes, rich confectionery sweetness and hints of sweet spice. The nose opens up with wafts of ripe apricots, marzipan and fire roasted marshmallow and hints of balsamic. The tangy fruit notes open up on the palate, with blood oranges and cranberries complimented by dark chocolate and hints of spicy ginger.
