Over time, elastic components can stretch, lose tension, or become damaged through normal use and storage. Replacing the harness helps maintain a secure, comfortable fit. 40 mm Port Plug Most MIRA Safety® gas masks feature dual 40 mm NATO filter ports. The included port plug allows one port to be sealed, enabling operation with a single filter for a lighter, more streamlined configuration. Installation & Safety Although installation is relatively straightforward, MIRA Safety® recommends having replacement components installed by a qualified respirator service center. Professional service centers can verify the respirator maintains a proper seal using specialized fit-testing equipment. If installing the components yourself, always perform a negative-pressure user seal check before placing the respirator into service.
