First Sweater Class
September 5 @ 11am Ever wanted to knit your first sweater but the idea of seaming it together made you quietly close the pattern and back away? Or maybe there's a new baby in your life and you've developed a sudden, unreasonable urge to match outfits with someone who can't hold a spoon yet. Either way, I've got you. The Flax is a top-down, seamless raglan, sized from 0-6 months all the way up to a 6XL (70" chest) — so genuinely nobody is excluded here. You cast on at the neckline, raglan increases shape the yoke as you go, and when you hit the underarm the sleeve stitches go on hold while you finish the body. Sleeves come last. No seaming, no piecing it together at the end and hoping it looks intentional. This one's priced differently than my usual classes. Since the size range is so wide, I'm charging $25 for the class itself and letting you buy or bring your own yarn — no flat materials fee that overcharges the baby sizes or shortchanges the adult ones. If you'd rather buy your yarn from me, you'll get 5% off commercial yarn or 15% off hand-dyed. You'll need DK weight (size 3) yarn, US 4 (3.5mm) and US 6 (4mm) needles. And once you're in, you've got ongoing support from me as you work through it — this isn't a one-and-done, figure-it-out-alone kind of class. Come knit your first sweater. Or your fifth. Either way, bring snacks. Please have your Ravelry username for the pattern.
