While it stands on its own beautifully, it is cleverly designed to sit perfectly under our Downing coats. It is designed to fall to mid-low calf length, just shy of the coat length, and has a waisted, skirted shape. It is fully lined in silk. The sleeves reach a few inches below the elbow and have a slitted fold back cuff detail. Darted pleats to front and rear created a superbly flattering shape that is at once elegant and easy to wear. The Fabric This is a pure silk velvet – a real treat of a fabric. Incredibly soft, elegant and light to wear, it has a truly incredible painterly shimmer and reflects the light wonderfully. Although this textile is not made in Britain, we have added this to our mix to expand our evening wear offering.
