The story goes that around a century ago, a traveling salesman from the Chattanooga Bakery was visiting a company store that catered to miners, and he asked a miner what kind of snack he wanted to see in his lunch pail. The miner requested something made with grahams crackers and marshmallows. When asked how big it should be, he held his hands up to frame the moon and said "about that big!". With that in mind, the Moon Pie was born, and become an iconic staple of the "working man's lunch". Not too dissimilar from our Wagon Wheels, a Moon Pie consists of two circular grahams crackers, with a layer of marshmallow filling in the middle, coated in a flavoured coating.
