Coach House
Roast: Full City (4/7) (Medium) Origins: Costa Rica, Colombia, Myanmar Tasting Notes: Chocolate, Caramel, Apricot and Cedar Processing Method: Various Story: Coach House is our signature house blend. Named after the original use of our roastery! Our aim with this as a house blend was to create a taste that was representative of our roasting style, easy to get on with yet with a memorable character. To do this we started with our best-selling coffee as a base, Costa Rica Hermosa. This provided the 'easy to get on with' aspect. To implement a bit of character, we wanted to use a microlot, the Colombia Inza has many matching tasting notes and has previously paired very well when we used it in our Summer Espresso. Finally, we wanted to make sure the blend had a bit of strength to it, to cut through when added to milk and balance out some of the sweetness from the Colombian, a hint of the Myanmar Moe Htet Estate worked perfectly. After experimenting with proportions, the end result is something that should be an everyday drinker, a coffee you look forward to waking up for that has a full body, a bright sugary sweetness, and a hint of earthiness to give it roundness.
