AMD is making the Ryzen 7 7700X3D on a 5 nm production node using 11,270 million transistors. The silicon die of the chip is not fabricated at AMD, but at the foundry of TSMC. The multiplier is locked on Ryzen 7 7700X3D, which limits its overclocking potential. With a TDP of 120 W, the Ryzen 7 7700X3D consumes a lot of power, so good cooling is definitely needed.
