SNOW WHITE BEE SHRIMP SSS GRADE (Caridina Cantonensis .Var)

The White Bee Shrimp also known as the Snow White bee shrimp is also a rather old colour morph of the wild Bee Shrimp. It is a white mutation of some otherwise more or less wild-looking bee shrimp strain. All colours except the white markings on the body are gone and both the eggs and ovaria are blue. The mutation here is much like that of Snowball Shrimp. The exact origin and breeder who selectively bred this species is unknown. It is thought it was discovered in Germany. The species is not widespread and is very difficult to obtain. It will eventually become more widespread and potentially new strains can be developed from it. A little selective breeding has been done on them yet. Breeders had a hard time to keeping this strain alive in the beginning but these specimens available today are quite easy to keep and breed. Sexing: The female White Bee Shrimp are almost identical to the male White Bee Shrimp except for the round "undercarriage" below the females' body. The overall width of the body is also distinctly larger in the female White Bee Shrimp. The coloration stays the same for both male and female. Breeding Like most Caridina species, the White Bee Shrimp will breed extremely well and reproduce around the clock as long as it is healthy and happy. Each female produces roughly 20-25 hatchlings. Once hatching a batch of eggs it should take no more than a week for the same female to once again possess eggs. Grading The Crystal Red Shrimp comes in many different grades and grading termanologies as well. Prices increase as the grade is "higher". Sometimes the price of a high grade Crystal Red Shrimp is shocking. Reports of €2000 for a single shrimp have been reported. There are many guides for different grading for the Red Cherry Shrimp.
